Our investors

Since we started in 2004, we have built up a considerable database of funding sources. Most fall into one of three categories:

1. Business Angels

We have 750 individual investors. Whilst many look invest £25k to £50k per transaction, we have others willing to invest amounts in excess of £250,000 per transaction. Our single largest investment from an individual was £1.6m

2. Family Offices and Syndicates

We work with 14 family offices to help them secure high quality deal flow. Most or our family offices are looking to deploy between £1m and £3m per transaction. Family offices can offer companies a variety of services. See our list of family offices [link to family office page].

We also have a number of formal syndicates, who work together and share the costs of due diligence.

3. Funds

We work with many early stage funds, EIS funds and VCTs. Most funds have criteria as to what they are looking for and are looking to invest in excess of £500k per transaction. Many funds will insist on companies applying via the website but most will respond to contact made directly from us as they know we have screened the deals we present.
